Kelly Kimball
Executive Director, Rock Point Commons
Kelly is the Executive Director of Rock Point Commons, a nonprofit committed to building community around education, spirituality, and environmental stewardship at Burlington’s Rock Point property. She and her family live in Burlington’s New North End, where they are grateful for the bike path, city beaches, dog park, community gardens, and Starr Farm Park. Kelly currently serves as the Parks Foundation Chair.

Gordon MacFarland
Founder and Manager, TheSeniorRunner.com
Gordon has served on the Parks Foundation board for seven years, four of those as Treasurer and currently as the Vice Chair He is a certified public accountant, retired from active practice but continuing to assist several nonprofits as a volunteer financial advisor. A lifelong distance runner, Gordon has authored a book on senior running. He helps with local road races and is founder of the Vermont City Marathon.

Paul Ode
Director, Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC
Paul and his family appreciate the many recreational and cultural amenities that Burlington offers, and his six grandchildren particularly enjoy the playgrounds. He is the Secretary of the Parks Foundation.

Simone O'Flaherty

Simone works at the Agency of Natural Resources for the State of Vermont. She is very interested in conservation and public access to public lands to parks. She and her family have lived in almost every part of Burlington from the South End to the New North End currently. In each place, she and her family have enjoyed access to the neighborhood parks and bike path. Simone currently serves as the Parks Foundation Treasurer.

Colleen enjoys walking and biking in Burlington’s parks. She had a CPA practice in Burlington for many years.

Becky Holt
Executive Director of Vermont Story Lab
Becky is a nonprofit management and communications consultant. She specializes in helping nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals (youth and adults) share their stories through interactive workshops, online learning, and one-on-one coaching. Becky is also an adjunct at Champlain College in the Writing & Publishing program. She is currently completing revisions on her first YA novel.

Sydney Streets
Senior Manager of Talent Attraction, McKinsey & Company
Sydney is a Burlington resident and active community volunteer, supporting both Edmunds Elementary School and the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington. She leads early career talent attraction strategy at McKinsey & Company and brings experience in communications and community engagement to the Parks Foundation Board of Directors. Sydney loves exploring Burlington’s parks and Lake Champlain with her husband and two children and is passionate about ensuring these shared spaces thrive for future generations.

Betsy Ferries

Betsy has split her working life between being a school counselor at Essex then leading Mercy Connections, a nonprofit helping women move beyond poverty as well as support business startups. She has three grown children who all decided to have a child in the last two years, gifting her and husband Peter Clavelle with four granddaughters ages two years to one month. She lives in the New North End of Burlington.
