PROJECTS
Current Project:
Playgrounds For All Forever
Come play with us. With inspiration from Oakledge for All, Burlington's first Universally Accessible Playground, the Parks Foundation of Burlington's vision is to:
-
Build playgrounds throughout the city that are inclusive and accessible to all
-
Re-envision the role playgrounds have in building a more equitable community
-
Create stronger neighborhoods, more opportunities for play and deepen connections across our community
-
Leverage public funds with private support to accelerate city-wide investments in neighborhood playgrounds

Multi-year campaign in partnership with the Burlington Parks, Recreation, & Waterfront Department
With the help of the City and the Parks Commission, over $100,000 of public money has been committed each year for the next five years to improve Burlington's playgrounds and make them more accessible.
Short-term Goal: $1,000,000
-
Approximately $600,000 to help fund four neighborhood playgrounds (about $150,000 each).
-
Approximately $400,000 to help fund a regional playground at Leddy Park – a project similar in scope to Oakledge For All.
Overall Goal
Establish a permanent fund upwards of an additional $500,000 (for a total of approximately $1.5 million raised), so that more playgrounds can be updated, and no playground becomes outdated or inaccessible again.
